SEEDS
Seeds is a productivity app designed for Type A planners who are highly organized, goal-oriented, and need structure to thrive. The goal was to create a seamless environment where users could manage tasks, deadlines, and calendars in one cohesive space without switching between platforms.

PROBLEM
Busy individuals can often feel overwhelmed by countless deadlines and tasks, while feeling behind on long term goals that they've created for themselves but never find themselves getting to. Jotting down tasks in one app, setting deadlines in another, and using a separate calendar lead to mental fatigue and inefficiency.

USER RESEARCH
I identified several recurring pain points among everyday planners:
Task management is fragmented across multiple platformsMost users rely on multiple apps for to-do lists and calendar scheduling, leading to disorganization
There is no direct way to transfer tasks onto a calendar
With existing platforms, users often manually copy tasks from a different platform into their calendar.
Users want to see their tasks and calendar simultaneously
Users want a centralized layout with both their schedule and tasks for a big picture perspective.
Complex tools have a steep learning curve
Popular productivity platforms are often seen as powerful but too overwhelming
Design Decisions
DESIGN DECISIONS
I focused on designing a centralized platform that streamlines the entire planning workflow, from creating a task to scheduling it onto your calendar.
01 TASK OBJECT
The task unit displays each task's content and allows users to add relevant properties and details through hovering and clicking. This allows for quick task management without cluttering the main view.

Click on the task to add notes, create subtasks, or assign a task completion time.
02 DAY OBJECT
Each day object displays that day’s deadlines at the top, with its tasks listed underneath.
03 DRAG AND DROP
To improve the scheduling workflow, users can easily drag tasks from the task list on the left and drop them directly onto specific days in the calendar. This interaction mirrors natural planning behavior and eliminates the need to manually copy or retype tasks.
DRAG AREAS
Tasks can be dragged to the top of the day to create a deadline or the bottom to schedule it for that day.

Deadlines indicate when a task is due.

Tasks indicate when a certain task should be completed.
Proposed Solution
BRANDING
There is a korean saying, “티끌 모아 태산,” which roughly translates to the saying “Gathering specks of dust builds a mountain.” Similarly, the idea behind this app is that consistent, small efforts each day can lead to something meaningful over time, just like how a garden begins with planting small seeds. The name “Seeds” reflects this idea, and the logo (a flower composed of four individual seeds) symbolizes daily progress and the growth that follows.
